I have a 04 tahoe and my rear lift gate will not unlock. Unfortunately there isn't any other form to open the lift gate besides the remote. anyone ever run into this problem?

My wife's '04 doesn't unlock sometimes on the first press on the remote. I just keep pressing 'til it does.
