Hello. New to the forums.

I recently picked up a 04 tahoe. Love it... but I am having issues with the dome lights.

They work when I use the fob or open the doors. But when they turn off I can not turn them on so map lights dont work vanity mirror lights or the back seat lights. Untill I open a door then they work.

I think it may be a fuse. And help is appreciated. Thanks. Bryan

Check fuses on the left side of instrument panel when you open driver door side thers a cover there it should have a molded pic of a fuse on the cover.. remove the cover and on the back of the cover there should be a fuse description, location and amperage size.. look for fuses TBC2A - 15 amp.... TBC2B- 15amp... and TBC B ... check those fuses.. if there ok you may either have a poor connection at the power supply connector at the body control module or even a defective body control module. . However if it is a fuse chances are you may have a short somewhere causing that fuse to open

It was a blown fuse. Also found someone did a bad hack job under the stearing column, adding in headrests monitor's. Fixed it all and its working great. Ty very much
