hmm... using a spray adhesive that you can put into your air sprayer I think might be your best bet. It's what I see guys using on the customizing shows that I watch.

I have seen all kinds of full carpet replacements on LMC and in Jegs and at Summit, etc.
if you want something rubberized for the floor/ carpet replacement, please consider the rust factor, as they dont breath well.

Sounds like a cool project. tell us more, and visit the sponsors for your parts.
take care,
Pete

3M sells some good adhesive junk in a can... as for carpet, i bought mine offline somewhere, i refuse to tell you where i bought it from, Bcuz it sucks dick. The carpet needed major trimming, then right at the middle hump all the way in the front, it doesnt fit worth crap. Its all bubbly and looks like hell., they dont deserve another tahoe carpet buyer.. The color wasnt even factory color carpet, why would they even consider doing that- i dont know.. soo theres my 3 cents.. oo yea 3 cents..

I used the 3M aerosol can for my sub box carpet. It worked well for that. maybe your local hardware store sells a bulk adhesive you could brush on or use in a sprayer.

GRRRRR. i hated that 3m spray glue on my old sub box. i had to use contact cement cuz the air from the ports kept blowing the carpet off. lol. it works good if your not tryin to rip it off with every song u play. lol.
but like i said, contact cement may work for it too. just an idea.

3m spray will do just fine. are you using foam backed material? if so, just remove old material, scrape any old foam from backing board(all does not need to come off, just use a hard bristle brush to remove excess foam) spray on 3m and install headliner start from the middle working your way outward. goodluck.
