You would think it would, becuase it spirals the air column on its way in.

I dont know.
it seems like 50-50 on this. some dudes say "yeah" and some dudes say "meh"

I dont think it can hurt you really though.

dude, really?

Are you just driving it harder, or not really? some say those things are a 95$ paperweight.

Im glad it worked for you though.

not even close to a paperweight ....this thing actually helps with the hp and a little on the gas. ive done a little research and found that it is quite helpful for any tahoe with the 5.7 vortec. you should shell out the measly 95 bucks and enjoy it....

uh...says right on the box...if its whistling its working...

But yeah mine whistles too. suppose too. Also helped with 5hp on the dyno test so id say not a bad investment for 95 bucks.

I think the call on the TB's are still 50/50. There is no way I could drive my Tahoe with the darn thing whistling though, even for 5hp.

Have you toyed with a MAF? I'm thinking of that next and about to start researching.

i drive my yukon w/ no silencer box.. and you always hear the air noise.. so the air whistling probably wouldn't be to much different

:Chevy: Man Im not sure what all the bigg deal is with a little whistling. For 5hp more and better gas mileage, id listen to a fat lady sing all day. But go ahead and dog it if you will. bottom line is i will smoke your nonwhistling tahoe if you run up on this beast the wrong way.

I'm not knocking your personal decision, simply each to their own. I like my Z71 to be a quiet ride, much like a sleeper, that gets up to go when needed.

As for smoking my ride, no biggy. I just like a smooth ride. When I went to get up and go, I'll either take out my 1800cc Goldwing or my Porsche!:D

Thanks!! That's what living in New Orleans and going through Hurricane Katrina does for you! It's not bad for vacations either, but the primary was to allow us to get out of dodge if things hit the fan again!
