DIY a new oil pan gasket? 2000 Tahoe

Have an oil leak around oil pan. Is this a DIY? Can the pan be removed and replaced without dismounting engine? OK, lets say I can't do it myself, wonder how much for local shop to do the job...

Yes, you can remove the pan without removing the engine, once the bolts are removed it should drop right out. IT shouldn't take very long at all, MAYBE 2 hours at most. The cost for a shop would depend on what they charge per hour.
