I have just put Hids in my stock Yukon headlight housings and they are kind of blinding. I dont want to get rid of my HIDs cause I do a lot of driving on dark roads so I was wondering if I could get some Denali Projectors? Would this help? If it will does anyone know where I can find a good deal on them? they are kind of expensive on ebay. I dont like blinding other drivers and I dont want to get pulled over for them.

I had them on my 06. But got them from the dealer. They were awsome. Better than any egay projector. one thing, you will need to get new HID bulbs because the projector uses 9005 bulb insted of the 9006 bulb.

Do you know what they cost from the dealer? Im going to try looking at salvage yards. Can I modify my 9006 Bulbs to fit in the 9005 socket? Arent they already close to begin with? I thought the biggest difference was in the conector which since its not a denali the low beam wire is a 9006.

When you installed your HIDs did you have to modify your Daytime running lights or the Auto "On" light feature? Also did you install a relay wire?
Thanks ahead of time for any help regarding these minor questions.

Okay I have the same exact question. I'm not gonna buy HIDs for either the Yukon or the Camaro unless I have projectors, so I thought well, the Denali's have projectors, so that's an option. Now if I want to switch them out, is it just a direct swap, the housing and the HID ballast?

you question on modifying the 9006 to work in a 9005, your answer is yes it will work with a little modding.

PM me or AOL IM me (jgiguere17)

I know quite a bit about HID's and projectors.

I am working on my projector set up now, I bought denali headlights, 1 on ebay 40 bucks, needs a little work and I am buying the other next week. But I am replacing the projector from them with a Lexus RX330 wide projector. Last night I was up till2am finishing my harness, just a word from the wise, if you run HID's, it is BEST to get a harness. When HID's boot up when you turn them on they are pulling the most power then, you also can run the chance of burning your wires since stock wiring on the 00-06 yukon are NOT meant to carry a load like that. Adding a harness you are taking the steps to prevent this. I had a buddy that I did a conversion before for had a small fire in his engine bay because of the hot wires. Not to worry you but I would rather protect my investment and buy a set.

more info and to read more about harness' check out here www.hidplanet.com/forums

this is what the harness looks like
