I noticed this summer the frost on the windsheild from the a/c, but now its appearent that the selector for heat/defrost/vents is stuck in only 1 position and thats the defrost. If i move to the vents, some air comes out, but not as much as before. How hard is this on a 1-10 scale to repair? And what exactly needs to be replaced.....vacuum canister? vacuum hose?

Thanks is advance!

Hello,

Did you find a solution to this problem? In my 2002 Yukon the selector (face/foot/defrost) moves fine but changes nothing. There's some A/C coming up the defrost vents, and a tiny amount coming to face and to floor. Not enough to cool on a hot day.

2002 Kon will be a different body style so the HVAC unit should be different, my 98 Sierra has the defrost on with the vent ac on I usually just throw a towel up on the dash as I know the foam/rubber surrounds on the damper doors has rotted off (had one come apart and had to disect part of the HVAC unit to repair it and came to the realization I wasnt going to have like new performance......
