I know the Piaa are much more expensive so I dont think your going to get much more light for the cost. But hopefully someone that has used them will chime in.

I've got a friend that put some PIAA's in his Dakota, he said they didn't give him enough of an increase in light to be worth the cost, said save your money.
I've never used the HID's or HIRS. I guess it all comes down to pocket book. It looks like the PIAA's are about the same price as the HIR's so if you couldn't afford the HID's or don't want the light up lag or hassle of mounting ballasts get the HIRs. Me, I'm on a budget, I replaced the highs and lows with Silver Star Ultra's for 43 bucks total, shipped. Maybe not as bright as the HIR's but a good improvement over stock for a good price.
