This is my first post and already I have a dilemma.

I have a choice to pick up a 2004 Tahoe LT loaded with 86K miles or a Yukon SLT loaded with 101K miles. I like them both but can't have both. Either one will be my daily driver with the occasional tow of our 14ft travel trailer.

Which would you choose?

Features, Service, looming costs

OK, I'll bite. You didn't give too many particulars except mileage. 15K miles isn't terribly significant, in my view, if it's been cared for. Here are the things I would consider, probably in this order:

- service record, no two owners treat their vehicles the same or document the same
- I like posi-traction and 4-wheel drive since I travel to the snow frequently
- engine and drive train (in particular axle ratio if you're towing)
- interior wear, color, and since some of us prefer cloth over leather, that
- are the 3rd row seats included? They'll sit in the garage 99% of the time, but they are nice to have if you need to haul more than 5
- any major repairs or service items due soon?
- oh, yeah, and exterior color
- there must be more, but these are what I can think of right away...

(if you're not mechanical you probably should consider paying a mechanic to give it a once-over)

I've made my decision. I picked up the 2004 White Tahoe LT 4WD, Loaded. Let the Mod games begin!
