So I should be taking home a 2002 Tahoe LT in the next couple of days. 1st thing I am going to do is set it up with some new wheels. As you guys may have seen in my other thread asking about the wheel size on the Denali pictured below. I like this look, where the tire doesn't look dwarfed by the rims. I don't want a short side-wall, I want something that fits in with the girth of the vehicle.

Im looking at either 22's or 24's. I would prefer to not have to deal with trimming if possible. And I want the set up to be fairly similar looking to the Denali below. Obviously it won't look exactly the same because I believe those rims are 20". But I want something close.

Who has any info to help me? Possibly pictures? What's a good rim/tire size combo for me?

Thanks, Dan

Yeah I think 22 might be just right. Anyone else have an opinion? Boost?

how is the snow in your area, so how are the roads during the summer. most snowy areas, have potholes in summer....I did 20's, perfect for me....22's, just not enough sidewall...

Ok So I've decided on 22's. What's the meatiest tire I can fit in the wheel well?

And where do you guys suggest buying these? Are the local shops going to be pricey? How about online stores? Ebay?

Thanks , Dan

I have 305-40-22 on my truck and its lowered. Discount tire said that was the biggest I could do "at stock ride height" without rubbing.

If you still want to keep a little meat on your wheels without rubbing, I wouldn't go any larger 22". Depending on how much sidewall you want, you might even want to look into 20s as well.
