Dash Drivetrain Backlights

I got a question...On my 2006 Tahoe I have 4WD, but the 4WD high, and the 4WD low buttons are the only ones that are backlit when the lights are on. I may have never noticed it before but shouldn't the 2WD and the Auto 4WD buttons be backlit as well? It's been bothering me so I called a few Chevy dealers around my area and some tell me that all the drivetrain buttons should be backlit and some are telling me that only the 4WD high, and 4WD low should be backlit.

I'm getting some conflicting info from the dealerships and if anyone with a 2006 Tahoe or any Tahoe with the same type of body style please let me know. If all buttons should be backlit what can the problem be?

actully 4wd, 4wd low, and 2wd high are lit up on mine, auto 4x4 has no lights behind it, and the button just has the words painted on it not drilled out for alight. so your 2wd light is not working.

nope...my 2WD light is not working. I posted this same exact post on another thread and someone posted pics of their Tahoe with only the 4WD high and 4WD low lit. It still feels a little odd to me that the 2WD isn't lit, but I couldn't tell the difference if the 2WD letters were painted on the button or not. In different lighting it looked like the 2WD letters were painted and in other lighting it seemed like they had some backlight. I still don't have a definitive answer, but your answer might be the correct one so far.

I MISS LED YOU, i went out and checked.

ALL 4 DO light up.

AUTO lights up and 4wd is painted on on the auto 4wd button, sorry for that. i have a pic too.

here is a pic. mine is an 06 yukon, should be exactly the same as yours.
