Guys,

Still having some issues, and your expertise/opinions would be greatly appreciated.

The low-down is that I put air intake and a TBS on my ride about two weeks ago... Now I feel like I have much less acceleration on the highway. Not to mention, I have to give it much more pedal to get it up to speed anyways. :mad2:

Is this a result of too much air, or too much fuel?

Do I need to get it "custom" tuned for the big rims, intake, TBS, etc now? I have read about some of you doing it, and that seems to be my only solution to get some "pep" back in the truck.

I definitely didn't do all of this to make my truck run with vettes, but I did it assuming it would add a little fun to my driving experience... This makes me want to take it all back off and sell my after-market parts... :cuss:

Literally at wit's end here guys... I've been driving my weekend car way too frequently lately. It's time to get the daily driver back up and running...

ANY thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Take the TB Spacer out. well... atleast i have "heard" they dont do anything for the LS series engines. i have a k&n cai and flowmaster exhaust, no tune yet and i have noticed a huge torque increase. TB Spacer is all i can think of....

My concern is this: Even if it's not supposed to make a big difference, it should never give you less torque, should it? I knew I should have paid someone to do this crap...

-Seriously frustrated-

Do i have a freaking lemon... or do I not know what I'm doing? In my life, I've had five of these 'projects' and not one has had a decrease in torque once I was done with the bolt-ons.

Seems to be everyone elses opinion on here as well...

If I meditate, will that help my frustration?

drop an email to [email protected] or call him at 530-304-9934 and ask him about your issue. if anyone would know, he would.. he can also answer your questions about whether a tune will help.

for clarification i didnt mean the LS tahoes i meant the LS series of motor. (LS1, LS2) basically most chevy V8's. I would try and take the spacer out and see what happens, you might have a air/ vacuum leak or something,
is the check engine light on?

That's the weird part... and perhaps this can shed some light for you guys as well. When I get into the throttle, the check engine light does come on.

No other time though... not at idle, not when normal driving... I've got no freaking clue what's going on...

Trouble Codes

I'm getting GM Codes P0171 and P0174, which means that the engine is running lean in both banks 1 and 2.

One would assume that this is a result of the Cold-air intake and the TBS, but I'm about half way convinced to just take them off of the truck and go back to factory.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Try removing them and see if the problem goes away.
