Has anyone put a crossover pipe on their 99 Tahoe sport, or an H pipe on their dual exhaust? I have true duals exiting straight back, right next to the trailer hitch bar. Is their any room to put an X pipe. My mechainic says no. Up until the split, the pipes run very close together. Does someone make a pipe for this application 99 Tahoe Sport.

Anything is possible. Behind my longtubes, I squeezed in cats, an x-pipe and 2 huge 5x11x22" magnaflow mufflers, all using 3" pipe with mandrel bends.

supposedly, when the exhaust mixes at some point after coming out seperately like in a dual set up, there is a performance increase.

A crossover pipe is best (even better than just straight pipes) with a dual exhaust setup because it equalizes the exhaust flow between the two sides of the engine.
