okay, so i have a 1999 2 door tahoe, work truck model. I recently hit a deer and ruined my grille and housing for the drives side light. Well i want to switch to a silverado grille, or the "ls" grille. ind a reseller. i have heard oh, you have to basiclly switch out the whole front end, and then i hear oh no just the lighting and lights, and the grille. What needs to be changed out????????
thanks

I've seen on the internet before where some people want to switch because they like the look of the grill better and I can understand that but I've also seen where people want to switch just to have composite headlights. Why?

I don't understand, I'd be the opposite but I'm thinking about doing an HID kit and if HID kits weren't cheap now and still $500 like the used to be a few years ago I'd consider switching to the w/t grill just for the sealed beams.

Composites suck, always getting screwed up and hazy or water inside, $200ish to replace every 3 years or so. With a sealed beam you just pay $8 and the whole thing's replaced. Do composites (when they're not hazy and screwed up) give better light somehow? (I havent had anything with sealed beams since my firebird when I was 18, 13 years ago, though so maybe I don't remember and they weren't that great.)
