I am looking at buying a Tahoe ltz 07 with about 100k miles. What kind of problems are common on this SUV? I have a Lincoln and they're known for their plugs and gaskets going out etc I can go on about my ls. Engine? Trans? Differential? He said he's always changed the oil with synthetic and it is all highway as I work with the guy and he drives an hour each way. So if I do buy it I can look for these common problem areas. Thanks.

I just traded my '08 for an identical '11. My '08 had approximately 130k miles on it. The only thing wrong with it when I traded it was the cruise control had quit working. Otherwise, I had to replace an AC "actuator" and the battery, both around 100k miles.

Some of them have zero problems, while others have more than their share. If you want to know about the risk involved with that particular vehicle, one thing you can do is have a local dealer run the VIN for a "VIS" report. That report will tell you everything that has been done to the vehicle by any GM dealer. IF it has had any issues that have repeated themselves, etc then watch out.
