I have a 2000 Yukon XL with 120,000 miles on it. In the last couple years there has been an increased cold draft on the passenger side during cold weather. This cold air is also penetrating through the glove box and the little storage cubby underneath the radio head unit where I store my cell phone. I have tucked fiberglass insulation into the nooks and crannies behind and around the glove box without resolution. Has anyone else had this problem and/or fixes to the problem?

I am a novice with car repairs and overall vehicle knowledge, but could this be a problem with the firewall? If that is the case what potential dangers do I need to be aware of?

Thanks!

Maybe your windshield isn't sealed very good on that side, especially if it feels like the air is coming out of your glovebox.

I have a 2000 Chevy Tahoe and have the same problem. I have also tried insulation with no real change. I would also be interested in a fix for this problem. My passengers always complain about the cold air while I, on the drivers side sweat my parts off. Any help would be good. Thanks

During winter trips, my wife often complains of a cold draft on her feet in our '05 Yukon. She said it seems to be coming from under the glove box - but I've never looked into it.

Maybe you can take a look at the rubber grommits that holds wires and cables going through the firewall? I really dont know, just a suggestion.
