i just got my tahoe the other day and the guy said he had the solenoid changed out just the other day and now its throwing this code. do you think it needs a new one? or maybe cleaned off or it came unplugged. it does have a shift kit in it (dont know much about it) and also had gears changed to 4.88 in the rear. trans is stock besides shift kit as far as i know.

If you have an SES light on could be your solenoid but if it was just changed i would start by dropping the pan inspecting condition of fluid and how much metal is in the pan/ magnet. Guy u bought it from couldve just cleaned all that crap out though. Next thing i would look for is burnt clutches. New or rebuilt tranny. I personally would never put a shift kit on unless the internals were upgraded.

Sorry, inspect the condition of the in pan harness. and considering the front isnt hooked up i would question the maintenance history of the vehicle also.

Usually right away if the problem is present. could have been clogged... how does it drive now?
