climate control problem

when it rains i have no defroster.the button will only put the air on the floor no mater what direction you turn it. the rear defroster works and the light comes on when u push it but the other two wont .Anyone have and ideas ? Thank You

sounds like the door to control the air is bad or its the control itself

i think it's the dash control my self .

when i use my air it cmes out the floor vent !!!when i want it to come out the dash vents then it will come out the vents back & forth.

or you can take the door motor off and see if it moves while you turn the knob. the motor that open&closes the door is located above the gas pedal on the h&a/c housing

with a wired plug at it. i took 2 of these motors off a 97 tahoe in the junk yard (yet)
to test them. they may dealer item as for the controller they are on ebay for 140.00

Hey QLC1964,

Maybe you can help me with my HVAC issues. On my 02 tahoe, the air only blows out the defroster vents and the vents by your feet. I've replaced the climate control panel and it still doesn't work. I can manually turn the air to come out the the front vents, and that will fix my problem, but when winter comes around, i will need my defroster. Do you think its the motor that open and closes the door? Does anyone know where I can locate this part on my car? Anything will help. Thanks in advance
