Hey guys.

want to replace my climate control knobs with some billet ones, and I was wondering how the stock ones remove. Do they just pull straight out, like an old radio knob used to do? or do I need to get the dash out again and remove them from the backside?

Thanks,

Pete

man, so I can just yank them out, huh?

OK, Ill give it a try, the controls for the 97 are the same-looking, so hopefully that will work.
thanks for the help.

Sweet, this is whats coming from ST.
plain, but works for me. Climate controls and headlight knob. I think the indicator dot on the new knob will align with the notch your talking about.

Thanks for your help guys.

I clicked the sponsor link over there for stylin trucks, and then clicked "interior" then "billet dash& accessories" and they were in there. they are made by All Sales, and the 3 knobs were 49.00 and the light switch knob was 19.99.

WAITAMINNUTE! 3 Knobs were 49.00? Isnt that a group buy rate in Vegas? HARHARHAR ( i got nuthin)

hope that helps.

Ok i got the knobs in the mail.

They are ok i guess, the rubbery rings change out easily and installation was unremarkable.
If I can say that they are looser than the stock ones, not grippy-wise, but..

I think that the outside diameter of the keyed barrel on the billet knob is slightly smaller than the stock one. slightly smaller makes the whole knob kinda move around in the dial opening.. if that makes sense.
Also missing on these new knobs is the travel stop notch. Which means you can turn all your controls up to '11' or more, becuase they dont hit the stop channel in the dial face.

The small dot you see on the billet knobs isnt actually a dot, but rather a hole.
at night, the backlight shines thru the hole. and it looks pretty cool.

Overall, 2.5 out of 5 for me. These will most likely be the last billet items I buy from All Sales.

I went yesterday too for opening day.
I got one swirl, and my friend Josh got 1.
So it was good.
