Hi there, I dont own a Tahoe yet but im looking at one that is a 1997 LT, Dude says the ABS light is on and the Check Engine Light is on. I dont know anything about Tahoes but a friend of mine had a GMC almost same year and He had same problem, ended up just being the O2 sensor, Is there a typical problem with Tahoes (Like the O2 sensor) or could this be a can of worms? Car has 200K miles but im told its in great condition.. Thanks for your help!

Not a problem with the truck, it's a problem of the truck having 200k on it. Just fix the sensors (once you determine which ones they are) and reset the computer, and keep driving it.

My 95 Yukon with 156k on it I got for nothing. As a matter of fact, the state ended up sending me a $10.00 check for overpayment of fees by the dealer I got it from! :D And no tears in the leather anywhere (go figure!)!

Miles should be of no real concern for any vehicle. Maintenance should be.

I agree, I live in NH but im moving to NC and need a reliable car.. 2300 isnt much for me but i currently have a 95 Jeep Cherokkee, 237k miles and the tranny knocks... thing is ready to **** out on me so im thinking im gonna get a better run for my money putting the 2300 twards a new car rather than sink it in that PoS LOL

sorry to just like change your mind, but if i were u, id rather put it in a more reliable car.. i just bought an 01 grandprix for 1400 that needs nothing, 130 on it and passenger rocker has tiny bit of rust. but the whole car underneath is clear as a whistle.. just shop around, you might want something with better mpgs hehe..

I have 224,000 miles on my 98 Yukon, but I've owned it since 53,000 so I know it's had regular service.
