Ok so the day I got the truck, I was driving home and the Check Engine Light came on... This made me feel like crap, so my Dad took the truck to work and threw it on the scanner(he's a mechanic) and though he forgot the exact code he said it was the cats going bad. So I do not know for sure if the cats or the O2's are bad but IF I had to replace the system I priced it when I was at work. It came out to be $560 for the cats. But tonight when I was looking on Summit, I found this... http://store.summitracing.com/partd...840140+4294923429+4294838974+115&autoview=sku
Would I be better off buying an authentic GM product or aftermarket. The "Authentic" one is over $200 more. I will know more tomorrow because I am going to take it to work and have a tech throw it on the scanner so I know the exact code and I can properly diagnose the problem, but if I have to replace the system, what would you guys do? Thanks alot.
