This is a pic of the dirty drivers side window, showing the seam where the window meets the weatherstrippy-part.

What is that little tab called/used for. Im thinking about ventshades and, from what I remember about my S10, they attach to this area where this thingy is and it wouldnt lay flat.

what does that thing do?

i think it has somethng to do with keeping the window in track when it gets to the top. i could be wrong though.

i have the vent shades on mine and they are molded to go around that whatever it is.

my vent vizors went on the door not the weatherstripping like my old s-10 or you can get the new style that tuck right up in the window channel and i don't they have any sticky on them

Dont you grab those to remove the rubber from the track? To pull it out?

yeah those keep the window lined up in the weather stripping. there help in by 1/4" rivets.. i took mine off thats hoe i know.. mine were rusted and i replaced em with new onces.. 4 bucks each..

???? how did u manage that?? they are pretty tight in there unless yours were rusted out or something..

I was extremly upset. My wife left the lights on again and I was sitting there charging the battery......I grabbed that instead of her.....:)
