hello everyone. I bought a 99 yukon a couple of days ago and hit the brakes last night to avoid the deer and heard something broke. i went to the nearest gas station got a flashlight and looked under the truck and realized that the torsion bar on the driver side rear hangs down a bit so everytime i go over a bump it clanks against the broken mount.the piece that is broken is the piece that holds the rear torsion bar crossmember mount on. ive went to all the auto part stores today and none of them carried the part so where else could i go to get the part besides the dealership? im thinking the dealership will charge me a couple hundred bucks for it when i could replace it for like 20 dollars...will it hurt the car to drive it like this? any ideas where i can get the mount at? thanks for your time.

Jesse.

I'd try a salvage yard, although I have bought them from the dealer when doing an install where the customer had a smashed crossmember beforehand. I wouldn't drive it too much since the keyway could potentially snap or even the crossmember (they're only made of thin stamped steel). Oh and you're in the wrong forum btw.
