Drove my truck round trip to a small town to pick up new wheels truck was fine, after new wheels I press the brake and it pulls to the right. I took back to shop and they said everything looked ok other than needing pads pretty bad... Would this cause it to pull to one side?

Well yes and no the question is what caused it. Stuck caliper or bad sliders but if you never noticed it before then maybe the new wheels are rubbing

If it were the wheels rubbing would it be making a noise? What would I listen for?

And on the sticking caliper, what checks would I need to do to figure this out?

Did they have the calipers off?

If the tires were rubbing it would be making noise and pulling all the time.

Could also be a collapsed brake hose if the caliper is fine.

If it is pulling right, then check the left side caliper or hose.

with the different tire size its prolly heavier and you need to press the brake harder. the problem was proly there before but the wheels make it more noticable. i would check your brakes for uneven pad wear

The tire size and wheel size didn't change, everything is factory size and offset.

And no they did not take calipers off

then probably coincidently the brakes have an issue and has nothing to deal with the tires. you should check them out for leaking caliper or something of that nature

Got new pads, rotors and lug nuts for the new wheels will be in tomorrow so i can stop using the ugly factory nuts, bought new Delphi fuel pump to fix gauge problem (was told to get the Delphi brand??), and a new thermostat... Why in the world a shop would install a new motor and on the recommendations put "needs thermostat" should be a requirement on that job, but none the less I have to change it due to not gettin to op temp.

Will replace any calipers and hoses as needed. I'll get this thing new again!

Installed the new rotors and pads today, checked the hose, it was good and the caliper seemed ok, so I bought new slide pins and new bolts, all installed very easy, total labor maybe an hour for both sides... Drove and does NOT pull anymore when braking!

RESULTS!!!!

You did lube those slide pins up with disc brake grease before installing right?
