Hey guys new to the forum. Just recently got my hands on a 99 2 door with 107,000 miles. I'm having one issue and that's with my tail lights. On the driver side tail lights the bulbs aren't even lit and I have put new ones in there. And on the passenger side they all are lit but when I turn my blinker on it doesn't blink. If anybody could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Thank you.

Are they kinda dim? I had a bad ground in the pigtail to the board on the back of the light assembly.

Could be a bad multifunction switch (turn signal switch).

Do the front lights work ok?

Front lights work great. On my driver side tail light the circuit board isn't even connected it's just laying up in there it fell out when I was changing the bulbs so that's probably why the driver side tail lights wont even come on I'm guessing. As far as my passenger side tail light blinker I'm not real sure, I've put a new bulb in it. And the only brake light that works is my 3rd brake light up top. I noticed in the fuse box the brake lamp relay isn't in there, I've got to get a relay for it but as far as that fixing the brake light issue I'm not sure on. Hoping it's not a wiring issue, if it is I'm lost on wiring lol

It could be the black plastic inner light. I had that happen on my 1994. replaced the whole tail light and it worked fine. Could also be a ground issue if you have barn doors clean the spring loaded door prongs.

Late reply here but had same problem with t/signal/4 way flasher on r/rear t/lamp. Take t/lamp out, remove the bulb board(2 screws) take bulbs out and spray with battery cleaner, which will take the corrosion out, and rinse out with water. You may have to do a couple of times. Dry it out real good and check the GROUND leg on the brake lamp, it will still look black, so take a small screw driver and clean the leg until it looks shinny. After testing that you got it fixed, use yellow(lithium)grease on all the bulbs reinstall and install t/lamp. Good luck.

The problem that kept popping up with my 1999 2dr Tahoe is the black thing in your tail light that the bulbs connect to. Mine went bad weeks apart in both of my tail lights.
