I have an 03 chevy tahoe 4x4 with the 5.3. I bought it recently and one of the things i noticed was the nice crome tips sticking out each side by the rear wheels and the nice deep mellow rumble of the exhaust note. Well, I looked under the truck to find a Borla cat back system. which consisted of piping from the cat back to a Borla muffler which split the exhaust into two pipes on the back side of the muffler. I think this is called a 1 into 2 muffler set up. I don't know how much it cost. All I know is that it souds good inside and outside without being overly obtrusive.

I had a custom Borla header back exhaust system installed under my car...very very nice. Because of this I will probably install borla on my Yukon.

I bought my Yukon SLT in January, nothing aftermarket except for a flip down monitor and wiring for a slim PS2 under the seat, whoever did the installed would be sued if I knew who it was. I had a meltdown and almost fried everything under my dash.

Anyways after I bought mine one of my managers went out and bought an 06' Denali, its sick! But he had a custom dual exhaust bent for it with a Flowmaster, I don't like riding in it because it is so loud. I want more power but I also want to be able to hop of the freeway on a long trip without the niose, is Borla the way to go? Or should I just turn up the music?

Borala definitely sounds nice but it was a bit too aggresive for me.

As for it being too aggresive...all you need to go is get a larger muffler. This will also solve 2001Yuke's issue of being too loud.
As I mentioned, I have borla in my car and I got the largest that would fit under it (not much larger than stock). You can really hear it when there is back pressure and when you jump on the gas. Other than that I can hardly hear it on the freeway.
Once I get some $$ I am going to install a dual setup in my Yukon. :yesnod:
