My only thought is if someone is looking to get free stuff, could do a search and get the address.
Other than that I have no clue.

wouldnt you need some inside help to run that plate?

Let me guess, your a cop????

I guess, i bet somewhere on the net you could find it. not sure.

I dont want this post to turn into a "how to". I just could not figure out why plates would be blocked out in pics.

It's just a personal preference with some people. Privacy or security reasons I'm sure. Your license plate is one of the few things you won't change about your truck very often, and it ID's it pretty clearly. The chances of someone hunting your truck based on that Lic # by finding it on the street are pretty slim in a big metroplex... but dishonest people go out of their way to get your stuff, so it's not unheard of.

Most of us have jobs, and we work for our toys. It sucks to have to second level think these a$$holes that steal from honest people and make it harder for them (make them work for it) "GASP", but we have to do it.

Ya, a few years ago I lived in a big city. I had my truck broke into. It was parked outside right next to the house...I mean I could not open the drivers door all the way and it would hit the house..never thought someone would do it that close.

Didn't stop them, broke in and stole Panosonic head unit. 2 10" JL W3 subs and box, CD's. Broke the dash trim.
They were nice though didn't cut wire, layed my check book on the dash, took the pic of my kids from the dash layed it on the dash. Brushed the glass off the leather seats.

If some people put as much work into stealing stuff, they could focus on something productive.

BAD FEELING

yeah i agree. if someone wanted to do somethin to your truck they could just go by the actual truck shown with the blocked out plate. although some may have other reasons for blocking it out. someone could actually run the plate # to get info.
