Blinker problem, blinking sound all the time

I have a 2000 Yukon and i am having a problem with blinker noise. The sound the blinker makes when you turn on the blinkers i hear all the time, even when the blinkers are not on. The lights are not on , just the sound. When i put the blinkers on they work just fine but when the blinker is not on i still hear the sound and i even hear it when i start the vehicle and it is in park so can anyone help me

I also put a new blinker in and that did not help

I have this same problem in my 96 Tahoe. I replaced the relay thinking it was that, but nope....didn't help.

Dealership and many other Tahoe owners with this same problem said the whole assembly on the steering column would have to be replaced for a fee of about $300.

No thanks, I'll just turn my radio up a bit. After awhile, you'll get used to it and not even hear it anymore.....trust me...lol
