Is it necessary to bleed lines after replacing rear brake pads? 2000 Yukon SLT

No, but always a good idea to flush the old brake fluid out and replace it with new fluid....

X3 I'd do what Pincusa said flush your lines I did it this weekend and man that was some nasty blueish green crap! I used for the flushing Prestone Synthetic Dot 3 brake fluid it made a big differance in the pedal got a lot firmer!
