I'm wondering how long my black beauty is going hold up to rock chips. I'm considering buying the factory GM mudflaps. I'm assuming the install is pretty simple. Can someone with mudflaps post some pics? Thanks.

Tahoe parts link for part numbers is right here. I'd suggest calling the dealer and finding out for sure if the 41U (black) ones are painted gloss black, or textured black plastic (I suspect the 41U ones are gloss black, painted). Once you confirm the part numbers for the front and rear, check out www.oehq.com for a much better deal on the parts with free shipping on orders over $100.00...

If you have fixed stock running boards then the front ones are optional and if you have the folding boards, I don't believe GM makes a front one yet.

What do you mean the front are "optional".

I meant that while the rear ones are mandatory to prevent chips, the factory boards help prevent chips from the front tires so therefore front flaps are more of a personal choice.

Do the front one's help keep the "spray" off your Hoe when driving in the rain? Thats another reason I'm looking into these
