best way to diasable the DRL sensor?

All of you guys are wrong. YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO ANY ELECTRICAL MODS TO TURN OFF THE DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS.
IF: YOU NEED the lights to be completely off upon the initial startup do the following:

PUT THE PARKING BRAKE ON, START TRUCK. ALL LIGHTS WILL BE OFF. THEN, PRESS THE DOME OVERRIDE BUTTON 4 TIMES FAST. YOU WILL HEAR A CHIME THROUGH YOUR SPEAKERS. RELEASE THE PARKING BRAKE AND ALL LIGHTS WILL BE OFF!!!!!!!

OTHERWISE, START THE TRUCK AND HIT THE DOME OVERRIDE BUTTON 4 TIMES FAST AND THE DAYTIME LAMPS WILL GO OFF, BUT WILL RESET EVERYTIME THE TRUCK IS TURNED OFF THEN ON AGAIN.

Not yelling. Sorry if I sounded like I was. I didnt know that that trick didnt work on 03+ trucks. I assumed it worked on all the 00-06 chevys.

Yea, at least on the 00-02 trucks
Not sure on the 03-06 trucks, I wont ASSUME this time.

yeah, why disable the DRL's. I have HID with DRL's. Never had a problem with it. When I start the car inside the garage, HID's are on. When I hit the sun, HID's turn off and DRL's on like what they're supposed to do. SAme thing at night.

Guys ,

Read the whole postings before replying if you guys would read the posting you would understand that this is not disabling the DRLS..this mod disables the auto twilight on the switch some users want more control over their head lights.
