belt noises

hello everybody,

I'm french, and i'm here for a friend. He has a 01 Tahoe V8. He has a problem with accessories belt and tensionner. there is a permanent noise. We change belts and tensionner two times, but no result. Is Anybody here have the problem? and have a solution?

Welcome to the Tahoe forum. Well if it is not the belt or the tensioner, then it must be one on the accessories (power steering pump, alternator, A/C compressor). With the belt removed, try turning by hand each of the accessories by hand to see if you can tell if there is a problem with one of them. Also could get a mechanics stethoscope and listen to each accessory and try to detect the problem that way. Good luck.

I was thinking a/c compressor too.

Thought of another thing to check if you haven't found the problem yet. Check to see that all of the mounting bolts are tight on the accessories. Sometimes a fastener that's not torqued to spec will allow a vibration to occur.
