ok before any of you guys give me any grief i have had 20's and 22's and yes even 24's the ride and the mpg's suffered from them so i went with a stock size 16 inch wheel i bought from a guy who came in my car lot on saturday and was selling them for $300 bucks no tires so i offered him $200 and he took it so here we go..

let me know what you think
BTW i also do alot of driving so the 16 inch size made alot more sense

I think its perfect. I love the rubber showing. When the black is all shiny, the crome is sparkly. the 16" are perfect. Plus they ride alot better. Im ready to sell my 18 esky wheels for some 16" again.

honestly not sure. I was thinking about taking them to a local rim shop and seeing what they will give me if I buy some 16's from them. I will let you know what I find on that. k??:cool2:

I think it looks fine man, forget what others think sometimes, I know a few buddies that put big ol lifts in their brand new rims with huge tires to boot, problem was that most of them do a good amount of towing and the trucks were their daily driver, poor gas mileage, tranny problems, vibrations, alignment problem, wrong gearing, ...ect!! Needless to say their rides were killer looking, head turners but they have all since pitched their trucks and started over, more practical!!
Looks good man!!

Looks good to me! I have always had stock on mine, not worth it for me to put anything else on. Does me good for my daily driver and when I need it for hinting it does just as good!

Thank you !!

ya i have done the lifted and the lowered thing in past but know that i am a little older and married with 2 kids my attitude towards vehicles has changed. man if some one would have told me 8 years ago i would be driving a basically stock suburban and been happy about it. i would have been laughing in the face no way. but i do drive one and i LOVE IT !!!!! just weird to be driving a practical vehicle instead a bad a### head turner

YOu can have a practical vehicle and still have it be a head turner. YOu can still do appearance mods as well as performance mods that actually help instead of hurt your mpg. YOu might not be out smokin' Hemi's or blowing doors off some ricer, but you can still take any other stock ride. As far as rims, the 16's look fine. My wife wanted bigger tires on the Ram so about 8 years ago I put a 3" lift and some 33's on it. Like everyone says, looks good but sucks for mileage and it's rough on tranny's and stuff. Luckily it's not the DD. Back to the rims, it's all a personal preference thing, but if a person is going to lift a truck and put big meats under it I prefer smaller rims, I have 15's on the Ram. The original reason for larger tires is more ground clearance for four-wheeling and rock crawling. You want all that extra side wall so you don't hit your rims and so there is enough rubber to grab things. True, the Ram doesn't do that, it's still for appearance (but it is still a truck and still gets used as a truck) but oversized rims don't go along with the true purpose for big tires. IMHO, lifted trucks with big meats should have small rims. I like oversized rims on stock or even dropped rides but even then I don't care for them when they get too big. But once again, this is all about personal preference, whatever blows your skirt up. If you like it hang everyone else.

i just dropped down from 20s to 17s... imo was the best thing to happen. i got new rims for 90 bucks a pop, and got some procomp xats. The ride is better, still trying to determine if my mpg will go up, it had better!

Nice rig!
