Well her is a good one for you wiring guru's
I just replaced my compressor in my wifes new to us Yukon Denali, with the arnott industries compressor. I had never heard the original factory one come on since we purchased it and now that summer is here i have been hauling around a few trailers and noticed the rear sagging..
The install was easy and everything went great aside from breaking a few rusty bolts. After I got it installed, still would not come on even with the trailer attached...
So I hook up again to the trailer as we are going camping this weekend and I plug in the connection between the trailer and the truck and I back it into the driveway. Jump out to see how far back I am and while I am doing that I plug the trailer in to get the batteries charged up and instantly the compressor comes on...
So I walk around a little confused thinking that must have been a coiincidence. So I walk back and unplug the trailer (Extension cord) and the compressor stops. Plug it back in and away it goes again so I left it running until the shocks filled up with air.
I have been thinking about this all night and I am stumped... I am a bit of a DIY'er however it really sounds like a wiring issue but maybe someone who has much more electrical knowledge than I do may be able to help me...
