Is there a way to cancel auto door locks on these trucks? I'm thinking about saving the actuators. Seems like they are constantly locking and unlocking. At least mine are, everytime I put it in and out of gear.

Go look in your owners manual. I know you can change when they lock. Not sure if you can cancel them by programming. Maybe you could pull the fuse, if that is the only thing on it.

Yeah I read it but it just gives me options on how to lock them. I want to disable the auto lock.. Should there be a fuse for the auto locks? Hmmm.. I'll look..

Just thinking, if you pull that fuse. You might not have keyless enrty, or be able to lock with the switch.......that will not work.........hmmmmm

On the 2002 Tahoe Z71 to change the door lock options you do the following:

Pull back and hold the high beam lever. While holding it in the back position, turn the key to run, off, run off. After doing this the locks will cycle ( lock/unlock). I'm not sure what the code is, but to change the system, you use the door lock button. I think to make it lock when you put it in drive and unlock when you put it in park you press the lock button once and the unlock button twice. Your owner's manual should have it in there. If you don't have an owner's manual I'm sure you can find a PDF online somewhere. Hope this helps.

I see in your sig that you have Viper security? Are locks on the same remote? This may be a Viper setting…….

In the 08 there is no option on the DIC. The option has to be turned off by a dealer.
