pulling out of a parking space in reverse. stop and put it into D. (in 2WD). engine shuts down. no sputtering or standard stall characteristics...just complete shut down.

starts right back up, but has been consistent. Transmission?

Help please

bad gas maybe?
has the fuel filter been swapped out recently ?

how much gas did you have at the time this happened?

any trouble codes pop up?

i have been using premium (93) gas, all the time. im not sure i should, just habit i suppose....killer on the pocket.

i dont know the status on the fuel filter. im gonna go ahead and try fuel injector cleaner and inspect the filter.

any idea about it possibly being the transmission

!! You must be dropping at least over $100 each time...i'm dropping close to $60/70ish on regular ........


Tranny shouldnt be the issue of a sudden dead stop then restart sounds like either a grounding issue or fuel issue
i would aim towards looking at everything for the fuel ....

I fill up with Chevron or Shell premium all the time and lately it's usually around $85.

low airflow.
check throttle body for carbon build up, intake tubing for blockage, AND YOUR AIR FILTER which might sound obvious but that is most often overlooked when there is a problem
but there really is a reason we replace those lol
