This is a picture of the hinge that attaches to the rear glass on a 2004 Tahoe. I noticed it wasn't shutting right, and low and behold, the hinge was loose. After scraping back some of the rubber adhesive, I found out that was the only thing holding it on. It also appears that the hinge is shared with that of the entire rear liftgate. So my question: How do I fix this????

I have an '01 Tahoe and the same thing happened to mine about 3 years ago. My cousin works in a body shop and he fixed mine with some type of high power glass adhesive. He put a clamp on it and let it sit for 24 hours and it hasn't come loose yet. However, the other side did the same thing about 6 months later and he fixed it also. He did recommend I leave the shocks of of the glass to take the pressure off the hinges while the glass was shut and they should last longer. It was no problem because I hardly ever opened the glass anyway, we always open the whole back gate. Hope this helps.
