Any suggestions on new spark plugs?

Hello, I am new to this site and would like to get some opinions on new spark plugs for my 2002 Z71 Tahoe. Will any spark plugs be better on gas mileage, or it doesn't matter? I always make sure my tires are properly inflated, oil is changed, air filter is new....etc. I am going to give it a tune up and would like some advice on spark plugs. Thank you.

Welcome to the Tahoe Forum. I'd stick with the AC plugs called for.

Be aware that the OEM plugs are good for 100K.

Not sure if this would apply to Tahoe's but when I had my LS1 Z-28 I used AC Delco Iridium plugs.
I would imagine they would also be good for the Tahoe's.

Yes, I put AC plugs in, talking to a lot of people they all said AC, one guy I spoke to put in some no name brand, and he got real bad gas mileage and misfires, but that's what you get for going cheap.

The ACs are just fine, if they're not the iridium (thought they were) that would be okay to do. I think higher quality is a forced function in todays engineering, so the apple is higher on the tree now, leaving little or nothing to be gained by a so called better plug. I hear some of them like E3 are just a gimmick that won't work right after a while.

Sooo are you saying the Iridium AC plugs are not good for the Tahoe 5.3's??
Sorry just wanted to clarify.

No I meant that I'm not sure if the ones in there are iridium, but that if they are great, but if they're not then having them be so would probably be all the better.
