so any body signed up for it. i really like it, just go to map quest, enter all the crap (info :lol then when it gives you the directions you go to the bottom after the list directions and before the maps and click "send to onstar" enter your Onstar account number and zip code, and click submit, when you get in the truck hit the phone go to your virtual advisor and boom bam bang DONE!!!, if you want to get your other info just decline Enav offer. very cool. but i hate to say it, using the nav screen is cooler.

I have the Navigation system so I don't know if I would need mapquest. I also just received the latest Nav DVD upgrade.

no extra cost if you have the Directions and Connections Plan from Onstar. if you just have the Safe and Sound plan than it will not work and you need to upgrade. i got a free year of safe and sound and for 40 bucks upgraded to directions and connections.


i also have nav, but if im in a hurry and dont feel like messing with the nav system, in the same time it takes me to check the weather for the day, i can put in the directions to job sites.

That sounds really cool. However I've gotten bad directions from mapquest on more than one occasion. Does onstar correct mistakes mapquest makes or do you just go merrily down the road the wrong way? Since the GPS always knows where you are on the navigation screen I wonder what happens with a mapquest/GPS fight.

I only have Directions and Connections on the Z71 now since I drive it all the time, the rest of them have safe and sound. I use directions and connections all the time on the road but whenever I'm driving the old Tahoe or Escalade if I get lost I just push the blue button, tell them I'm lost, and they tell me where I need to go.
