Alright if it was me I would be hell of mad just like you right now, that is complete BS, I would storm in the service area and demand immediate repair and a free rental, anyways I don't have a sunroof so I couldn't have that problem, I've never seen that happen to any car

Haven't had that one yet but I left mine at the after hours service drop off a few hours ago. Told them to keep it as long as they needed to but I wanted everything fixed right. I guess I'll just drop the '04 off when I pick the Z71 up. I wish I could have left them both but it looks like I'm driving the LT this week while the Z's getting worked on.

i will be standing at their door at 7 a.m. first thing in the morning. Not a good day for RT though. Electric company sent me a letter staiting that i never paid them for the months of march through april, no i did not but becuase i refused them as they were charging me double what i should have been charged. We got that all sorted out and i paid the balance in the first week of may with a credit statement to prove it. Well today they say they want a security deposit of 2800 dollars (returned NEXT YEAR) and the past due bills totaling 1234.67. Because i never paid for those months (ASS HOLES) :mad3::mad3::mad3: I will drop the yukon off, get a ride to the house pick up a car and head strait to dominion power CO. :mad3: IM refusing to pay all of it, but its still kinda a stress. Plus they say their shutting off my power at any moment too.

That's a fantastic way to make sure you get really crappy service any time you walk into that dealer. You think they won't remember you?

It's not the dealer's fault that the sunroof fell in your lap - it's the factory's. The dealer is gonna fix it (they get paid to do so by the factory, after all), so why abuse them over it?

I treat my dealer service staff well and they treat me well. On the few occasions we've disagreed over something, we worked it out in a way that made sense to both of us. That would NEVER happen if I'd stormed in there and ripped them a new one, even once.

Bad long-term move, no matter how mad you are.

Wow, I've never heard of that one either. I'd be seriously pissed too man. I've got a sunroof in my Z71 and hope that doesn't happen to me. When you say half of it fell out, did the glass break and fall into the front seat of your truck or what? Let us know what the stealership says caused that.

I'm kind of regretting getting a sunroof. I've kinda been wondering lately what would happen to your head if you rolled a Tahoe with a sunroof. I figure the glass would shatter and your head would be scraping asphalt.

what happened is i was coming up to a stop at a stop light and it was nice and thought, "ya know, i have never used this" hit the button, it goes CLANK BANG and the right side fell off the track, the glass did not break, but i at first thought it did. Im sorry, when i say fell out, i dont mean out of the roof, but more off its track, im just worried its gunna slide behind and they wont be able to get to it with out removeing the headliner.

Oh I gotcha. It's still BS though and I'm sure the dealer will take care of you on this. I'd still like to know what caused it and how they fix it though. Sounds like it's just a matter of getting it back into the track. (hopefully)

RT, after all you have been through, hopefully the dealer will take care of you and you will not have any more troubles.

FYI, I have not had any troubles with my sunroof and we have been using it a lot lately since the weather warmed up.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

Thats not really a fair comment, your house is american made. every think of that. ITs a rare problem no matter who makes the car or truck.

took it to them today and they said that the track was faulty and they ordered a new one. i take it back next thursday. They said dont use the sunroof as it is sealed to specs now .:cool2:
