Between the Tahoe and the Yukon?

I've come to the realization that I can't afford and 07 Tahoe and am now broadening my choices. I don't see any huge differences between a Tahoe or Yukon, are there any?

I love the exterior styling of the Denali's. If I could just get one with a bench seat. . . .

Thanks for the help guys!

The Yukon's don't have bench seats though, or do they?

Hopefully will be buying one or the other in May.

The GMT800's are essentially the same vehicle. The only differences I can think of is the front end and options. The Tahoe LT came standard with the 10 way heated seats, sunroof, TPM, small things like that that seems like were added options on the Yukon SLT.

Mechanically they are identical. The only reason I picked a Tahoe over a Yukon is what my dealer had available at the time. Since I have owned my Tahoe, I have grown to prefer the Tahoe over the Yukon, I'm not wild about the front end on the OBS or NBS Yukons, but that's juist a personal preference. Both are awesome trucks, I wouldn't hesitate to own either one.

I love my denali, 6.0 pulls hard and I have had no issues with the truck as expected for any gm. Buckets are dope, you'll want the buckets over some bench with no heat and the denalis look really good with some minor mods.

That's what I thought initally, but my Tahoes have bucket seats and they work awesome for it. Well, for some activites, meaning the one where you don't have to do any work (if you catch my drift), the buckets are honestly better.

The arm rest in the middle is the biggest complaint from my experience. . . .

My seat reclines back really nice and the armrests aren't an issue if I feel like shutting her up. You can always pull over, the back seats are like a couch and the rear climate is sweet.

this topic got cool. i love my captains, when i had to travel to chicago i had a buddy go with me so i did not have to go 17 hours strait, i would take a nap in the rear seats because they are like the lay-z-boys in my den, SOOOOOOOO comfortable, and i think more so than the front seats, alot of room too, and actully a bit more supportive. never going back to bench, plus if you need the bench for gettin laid then thats what the third row is for.

I have to stop being a part of these threads :smilielol: . Hell, truth be told the best way to do it, take out your third row, fold down the second row, put an air matress back there and go on a little camping trip.

That third row is a little cramped in the Hoes RT, but me and Christy do that with sleeping in the second row while one drives when we're on the road, those buckets really are more comfortable than the first row when you recline them. Nice and quiet back there, too.

The bench is for more along the lines of road head, as in while driving.

Oh lordie, Im gonna have to splash some holy water on you people. Everyone knows if you are gonna do this stuff in your car, you buy a Burban and slap a blow up mattress in the back.... But really, it just depends on your needs. I have first, second, and third row benches. Not as fancy, but guess what.....I can hold 9 people, and Ive done it. Even though it drives kinda funny with that many people in it. The buckets are comfortable if you arent worried about capacity or.....satisfying yearning loins. Had the buckets in the old Suburban. They were quite comfortable. Even though I must say it pissed me off when I folded them down and there was a big hole in the floor between them.

Our LT came with rear climate control and bench seats. Not sure if you can get heated rear bench seats in the Tahoe/Yukon, but I've seen it in the Escalade. Unfortunately even the Escalade bench seats are not the most comfortable in the world (they're the same as the Tahoe but with a logo stitching ) - so you've gotta evaluate your need. They're great for hauling a lot of people around (esp. kids), but it does defeat a lot of the comfort you would expect out of a large SUV for long trips.
