air dam

I really want to remove the ugly front air dam. I see 1/2 and 3/4 ton
pickups without them. Why did GM install these on Tahoes and Suburbans?

They help direct the air away from going under the front end of the truck at highway speeds. GM Pickups also came with air dams from the factory. As far as the pickups you see without the air dams, they were removed by the owners.

i have an aftermarket one on my hoe that doesnt look to bad, if u wanted to keep that look then buy a different better looking one.. or if u dont want it all, take it off.. lol.. jsut what u said

yeah here it is, its from a while ago, and right now its NOT purple nor that bowtie.. hehe.. but yeah. notice no tow hooks.. u really cant tell its aftermarket, but yet its different..

its not very visible eather. sorry about the picture.. its from a while ago (that date isnt right) but still.. idk if u can even tell with that crappy pic..
