i purchased a boss aftermarket stereo system for my 2002 tahoe and it works fine till you start the engine then it shuts off whats the problem?

i purchased a boss aftermarket stereo system for my 2002 tahoe and it works fine till you start the engine then it shuts off whats the problem?

So with just ignition on it works, but when you start it, it shuts off? Was it professionally installed or did you do it? Was it hardwired or was a harness used?
