Has anyone here purchased a pair of projector lights from Ebay? If so are they functionally better than the stock ones. I know that they make the truck look better, but do they provide more light? I would love to have an aftermarket headlamp do both for me look good and provide more light at the same time.

I bought some ebay projectors for my tahoe. The low beams are definitely more powerful than stock, but the high beams just seem to aim too high and aren't that bright. Looks wise I think they are great. And when the blinker is in use, its really cool looking.

The pair I have on mine are great. The output on projectors are great and the output of the highs are also pretty bright as well.

When I can afford the OEM projectors, thats what I'll do. Boostaholic lives near me and works for a local 4WD shop, and gets dealer pricing on OEM stuff like that. I haven't recieved a quote from him yet, but I can't imagine they'd be any more expensive then the knockoff brands on e-bay. Probably cheaper, actually. However, there are many more pressing finanical issues at the moment, so the lights are kinda on the back burner.

I wish I had a better source for you, but unfortunately I don't. My suggestion would be to buddy up with a good local auto body place, and when you're ready to buy the lights see if they can get them for you at cost, or at least with a nice discount.

You can occasionally find "OEM" denali projectors on ebay, but I'm a little wary of anything on e-bay that says it's OEM...there are alot of very convincing counterfeit products out there these days. Besides, even if you find them cheap online, shipping those things is a bitch and would pretty much negate any savings you'd see.

The OEMs are expensive but really are worth it, IMO. DOT approved light output from a GM factory projector housing. Perfect platform for an HID conversion.

I also have the OEM denali projectors that I swapped out with a trade in at work. They work great and the high beams are really bright with regular bulbs. I have yet to change the highs to HID.
