My 2013 Tahoe has had a shudder and vibration at idle since new. I have had it into the dealership more times than I can count and every time I get the same response. I’m told it’s normal and that some of these engines have a slight vibration at idle. I was also given a SB stating that this condition is normal. It has been bugging me for over a year now. It’s clearly caused by the low idle setting on the engine (475-500 RPM). If I hold the brake and bump the idle up to 600 RPM the shudder goes away. Has anyone adjusted their engine idle on a newer model Tahoe? I asked the dealership to do it and they told me that they are not supposed to do it. Something about computer settings and ratios blah, blah, blah dealer speak.
I know it’s possible to do it, I’m just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and fixed it?
