Ac not working

I have 99 chevy tahoe, I've replaced the compressor,dryer and all put oil and filled up with freon I crank the truck up and with all heat/ac controls off the compressor automatic cuts on and want cut off unless I unplug the compressor or cut the truck off........so I takes the control panel off and notices a burnt up diode, so to the junk yard I got to get another control panel plugs it up turns on truck the compressor now is working like normal in for about 10 mins or so now when I turn the ac control to the off position it's still running come to find out the same diode has burnt up again What is going on?

IIRC the fan switch can casue the Compressor to run, but that is with the fan off, as far as the diode goes, I suspect that perhaps you have a short in the wiring or a shorted coil on the compressor clutch....
