running 37-40" tireswith 2" or greater hub centric spacers.

These sizes are a ridiculous combination regardless of type, but please specify if they are actual spacers using one lug set, or adapters, using two. And please, provide names so I can buy some life insurance policies.

I have never had any problems or heard of any with such a small hub centric spacer. I have plenty of threads and no issues. I will let you guys know if I do ever have any issues.

I have a better chance getting killed by a drunk driver than my spacers, so not to concerned about it.

thanks

Wow, there's some pretty intelligent and educated guys in here. You'all make me feel like a moron. OK, is there any danger of losing a wheel if you just increase the width of your wheel 1" and use hub centric wheels with no spacers and stock backspace and offset???

I don't think you can have both stock backspace and offset w/ a 1" wider than stock wheel. That being said, w/ no spacer, you should be OK.

Agreed, stock backspace + 1" more width will change the offset by an inch's worth of millimeters. Also agree that it shouldn't be a problem at all.

thanks for all the input, but hub centric spacers are more than OK. I also ran them on my 69 camaro that was putting out 612 HP at the wheels and never an issue I am glad to hear all the feedback though. If I ever have an issue with the spacers 5/8 inch i will let all you guys know

thanks

hey guys, haven't been on the forum lately, sold the tahoe last month. Just picked up another one today (08 LT1)- becasue I like to put my own leather/suede inside. picked it up for 21,000. Cant wait to start working on it.. I will make sure I include step by step on most of the stuff. I will have it stripped down by the weekend, for lights, grill, emblems, bumpers, out for the paint booth. I am going to make a few changes in the new one.

I have a few mcintosh amps and jl subs just sitting in the warehouse ready to be used, so I will be dropping those in the hoe.

pics to come..

I couldn't stand not having my hoe for more than a month!!!!!!

Good move getting the older one out and getting a new one before you lose too much value on it, how much did you get for the old one?
And what color scheme is on plan this time?Murdered out, Black and Chrome?
