A/C doesn't start on electronic CC

Does anybody know if climate control-related codes will prevent AC from starting? No matter what settings I choose the A/C just blinks. A couple of weeks ago I took the dash apart to remove a pen stuck in the mode doors. After I put it back together the A/C worked but after I ran the self-calibrate on the door-mode-actuator the A/C refuses to start. Any ideas?

Anybody? Will the 15 min with the battery disconnected trick remove the codes from the airbag and climate control?
