99 Tahoe - Trouble Accelerating / Hesitation

go cheap.... replace the fuel filter first... mine did the exact same thing to the point that when I would floor it not only would it fall flat on its face, but would in fact start slowing down almost like an engine brake was mysteriously stuck in the somewhere. haha. Anyway, $10 for a fuel filter and half hour to change it = check here first. Fuel pump could also be a potential prob. but not worth $200 just to figure out that it was fine.

FUEL FILTER!!! Same thing happened to me. Hit the gas the rpm would go way high and I'd be barely moving at all and shifting was horrible...fuel pump was loud due to the dirty/clogged fuel filter. change that out first!! check your tranny mount too after uve been riding hard on it.

+1 on the fuel filter. Cheap, easy to change, and did the trick for me.
