99 Tahoe steers itself

How much should I be worried that sometimes my Tahoe "over" steers itself when turning to the right? As I'm making a slight turn to the right (very rarely) it will decide to turn more sharply to the right. Seems to be a safety issue to me. Any ideas what's causing it?

power steering gear box has play in it.

Maybe steering position sensor. $70, GM parts direct.

that, or it could be like mine... ive replaced the ideler arm, and the pitman arm and seal... and its gone.. mine used to do the same thing
